Non-invasive tests in the office at 3115 N. Harlem Ave.

  • EKG -
    resting electrocardiogram shows presence of old MI's, ischemic changes, and irregular rythms.
  • Ambulatory EKG monitoring -
    Holter monitor to monitor beat to beat heart rates for 24 to 48 hours. Event recorders up to 30 days.
  • Echocardiogram -
    ultrasound exam of the heart to evaluate the structures of the heart , and pressures within the heart muscle and lungs.
  • Stress tests with echo, or nuclear imaging
    to evaluate for the presence of coronary artery disease. Also pharmacological stress tests for people who can not exercise.
  • Doppler exams of the peripheral arteries
    to evaluate for blockages and blood clots in the arteries and veins.
  • Fast multislice CT angiography -
    non-invasive way to visualize big vessels, and the heart using either computrerized tomography, or magnetic resonance imaging
